Northland House

Opened in 1973 in Gladstone, this home serves 5 women. Walkers and wheelchair use can be accommodated. There is one roll-in shower. Two residents must share a bedroom; the split level home has been adapted so all activities are on one level and entry is via ramp. Toileting, bathing, and other self-care assistance is provided as needed. There are three staff on duty during most waking hours, and one staff available if needed overnight. Protective oversight (such as alarms on doors) is provided for people who may inadvertently wander away. This is designated a "Level III" home by the Division of DD.
