Flora House

Opened in 1980 as the agency's first handicapped accessible home. Located in Gladstone, the home serves 4 people, three in one wing and one in the other. Each person has his or her own room. Up to 3 people who use a wheelchair all the time can be accommodated by the lift-equipped van. The home has a roll in shower and is generally fully accessible. The home is able to care for people who are medically fragile with high care needs. There are at least two staff on duty during all waking hours that people are in the facility, and one person on duty, available for toileting or turning as needed, and one on-call if needed overnight. This is designated a "Level III" home by the Division of DD.
