Community Recreation Program

Established in 1976, the Concerned Care Community Recreation Program has a mission to positively impact the lives of people with developmental disabilities throughout Clay County.  The program offers a variety of educational and enjoyable activities to promote independent physical, cognitive, emotional and social functioning.  This is accomplished by enhancing current skills, facilitating the establishment of new skills of daily living, as well as community functioning and experiences that support other related life skills.

The Concerned Care Recreation Department serves over 500 people in over 400 activities each year.

The Recreation Department is also a member of:
Missouri Parks and Recreation Association (MPRA)
National Recreation and Park Association (NPRA)
American Camp Association (ACA)
