Employment Qualifications and Required Credentials
(Direct Care Staff)

To be considered you must:

  • Be 18 years old, though some jobs require an applicant to be 25 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
    (College degree in human service field helpful and preferred)
  • Have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
  • Have access to a reliable vehicle
  • Have a good driving record
  • Have an acceptable criminal background
  • Be in good physical and mental health

If you are hired you must complete the following:

  • All Hiring and Insurance Paperwork (including Driver's Declaration Form and Driving Record Release Form [both require Acrobat Reader])
  • CPR Training
  • First Aid Training
  • Chauffeur's driver's license (MO Class E or KS Class C)
  • MODOT road test
  • Medication Administration Training
  • New Employee Orientation Checklist
  • Policy and Procedure Agreement
  • Bloodborne Pathogen Instruction and Quiz
  • Abuse/Neglect Training
  • HIPAA Training
  • Submit a copy of your valid vehicle insurance card
  • Submit a copy of your diploma, degree, GED certificate, or other proof of education
